The Ladies Section

The Ladies Section at Royal North Devon has over 100 lady members,60 are active playing members.Thursday morning from 0745 to 1030 is the ladies competition morning which can be entered online or by contacting the Club.

As a thriving section we enter all the inter club County Competitions. These range from the Still Cup scratch match play to the North Devon Friendly League for players experiencing match play for the first time.The Vets Section of the ladies play friendly matches against many South West Clubs throughout the year.

The Mixed Matches are open to all members and are popular and well supported. This year we have a new fixture versus East Devon. These are very sociable occasions always followed by a meal.

Royal North Devon Golf Club have recently signed up to the Women in Golf Charter, which is an initiative set up by The R&A whose aim is to attract and encourage more women and girls of all ages to take up the game of golf. To find out more information please go to the R&A Webpage linked here

The Junior Section

The Royal North Devon Golf Club has the following membership options for junior golfers:

Junior Coaching Programme - Subscription cost £20.00 per month

Group coaching sessions, run at weekends, with a PGA professional. These are fun sessions, with activities based around games that are proven to develop the fundamental skills needed to play and enjoy golf. There are two sessions, starting at 10:00 am and 11:30 am, on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Weekly on-course playing sessions, used to transfer the skills learnt at the coaching sessions onto the golf course. Sessions run at 1:00 pm on Sundays.
Free entry into regular, junior only, intra-club competitions, with prizes included.
Full course playing membership (short course, practice facilities and main course). 
For juniors that are not yet using adult golf clubs, age and experience appropriate golf clubs can be included in the subscription. Each junior will be lent a set of clubs which, when they outgrow them, they can swap for another set.

 Junior Short Course - £25.00 per year

Short course playing membership (includes practice facilities).
Paid entry into regular, junior only, intra-club competitions, with prizes included - £3.00 per competition.
Pay-as-you-go access to group coaching sessions - £7.50 per session.

Junior Main Course - £50.00 - £100.00 (depending on age) per year

Full course playing membership (short course, practice facilities and main course).
Paid entry into regular, junior only, intra-club competitions, with prizes included - £3.00 per competition.
Pay-as-you-go access to group coaching sessions - £7.50 per session.


All of our junior members are eligible to represent Royal North Devon Golf Club in the various competitions that we enter each year. Some playing squads do have minimum handicap requirements. The competitions are:

Basil Steer Trophy - Inter-club, Devon golf club knockout trophy.
North Devon Junior Golf League - Inter-club, North Devon golf clubs league with multiple fixtures. 
BCCS National Junior Golf Knockout


Junior Team Golf

All coaches are PGA qualified or are PGA trainees working under a PGA Professional, have regular enhanced DBS checks and hold a valid Safeguarding and Protecting Children certificate.
